Centre for of Knowledge, Resource and Development
It provides resource support in terms of training, accompaniment, information and technical guidance to civil society organizations. Anwesa is a support organization “by virtue” in the sense that various professionals and experts working across the country in various non-governmental organizations, academic and technical institutes, government and corporate sector have come together to provide the expertise on relevant themes. It functions as an outfit of SAMBANDH for legal compliance. We primarily focus in Eastern India states Orissa, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh.

Objectives:

§     To facilitate a conceptual overview on the changing nature of development praxis vis-à-vis development support.

§     To facilitate cognitive learning on various issue based thematic areas  of Indigenous knowledge & technology, watershed development & management, Mother & Child Care, Medicinal Plants and alternative options on livelihood.

§     To build potential human resource and change makers for a better society.

§     To strengthen the local governance for effective functioning of the Panchayati Raj sysyem.

§     To devise user-friendly strategies for the organizational sustainability & management of change.

§     To strengthen the strategies on resource mobilization with facilitating the linkages

§     To provide human resource support to various Govt’ departments for facilitation of Govt. Programmes.  

Types of Training Provided

§     Managing the change process through micro-watershed program, its planning and designing process in terms of technicalities and watershed plus activities for social capital building.

§     Propagation and cultivation of medicinal plants for the health and livelihood security. Methods of cultivation of selected species of medicinal plants, Methods of nursery raising and its management, Processing of raw drugs of above species into marketable products, Market tie-up strategies with corporate entities with market strength and Procedures for financial support and linkages.

§     Training programs for creating training of trainers for imparting training to the elected representatives and functionaries.

§     Organizational management system for better quality delivery and program sustainability is the key theme. Governance with in the organization is one of important theme for making your organization systematic and professional.

SUPPORT SERVICE TO GOVT. PROGRAMMES

Looking into the level of people’s participation in the Natural Resource Management (NRM) programs, the District Rural Development Agency(DRDA) of Mayurbhanj district assigned the mobilization programmes under various watersheds being implemented through soil conservation department under IWDP & EAS schemes. This programme implemented in Mayurbhanj & Cuttack district. Training has been provided to Women SHGS, User Groups, Watershed committee & associations, President & Secretary of the watershed under this programme.  Support service has been provided to the Forest Department for conducting Micro-planning for the department.
