Sambandh
is a registered non-governmental Organization. Way back in 1992, a group
of neo-creative thinking professionals responded to the socio- economic
problems and an effort was made to search for an alternative development
strategy through promotion of participatory approach.

Human Resorces of SAMBANDH
Altogether 51 staff members are working in this organization. The specialized staff members are from Agricultural Science, Ayurvedic Medicine, Civil engineering, Ethno-Botany, Sociology, Psychology, Soil Science Journalism, Management, and Accounts background. Two of the staff members are gender specialists, one as local self governance specialists, and two as natural resource management specialists. A panel of experts working as advisors in governance of the programs is from various sectors such as Watershed development, soil conservation, bio-diversity conservation, agricultural development, horticulture, medicinal plants etc.
Governance within
General body of 11members from various specialized fields elects the
executive committee members of 7 persons for the governance of the organization
every year. Executive committee, apart from policy making, does the
regular program and finance audit based on the report of the program
advisors and internal auditor.
